Application of dust removal systems in the new materials industry

Project Overview:

This project involves providing comprehensive services for the bag filter systems and related facilities of Catalyst Workshop 3 (copper-based workshop) and Catalyst Workshop 1 (palladium-based and platinum-based workshop) within the integrated platinum group metal materials industrial project.  The services include design, supply, installation, commissioning, and technical support.

First stream of exhaust gas treatment process:

One stream of 3000 m³/h, with an average dust concentration of 200 mg/m³. The required particle size range for powder crushing is 16 to 30 mesh, with some smaller dust particles generated during the crushing or pelletizing process. The dust is a copper-silicon mixture (silicon dioxide/copper), with a copper content of approximately 20%, and a material moisture content of about 1%. The dust-laden exhaust gas first passes through a cyclone dust collector, after which the dust concentration of the treated gas is ≤100 mg/m³.  It then combines with three other streams of dust-laden gas before entering the subsequent #1 bag filter, and is finally discharged through the chimney after treatment.


Second Exhaust Gas Treatment Process

5600 m³/h of exhaust gas containing nano-sized silicon dioxide is first processed through a #2 bag filter, then through a fan, followed by a wet scrubber, and finally discharged through a chimney. The purpose of the wet scrubber is to remove gaseous silicon dioxide that cannot be captured after dust removal because its particle size is too small to be captured by other methods; it can only be removed by utilizing its water-soluble properties. The tower body material is fiberglass or 304 stainless steel, with an internal flow rate of ≤1.5 m/s. It is equipped with two packing layers, two spray systems, and a maintenance platform. A circulating pump (one in use, one standby) is provided, and a pressure gauge is installed at the outlet of the circulating pump.

Third exhaust gas treatment process

Air volume: 1000 m³/h, maximum dust concentration: 5 g/m³, emission standard: 10 mg/m³.

The dust particle size ranges from 16 to 30 mesh, with some smaller particles generated during crushing or grinding operations.

The dust is a copper-silicon mixture (silicon dioxide/copper), with a copper content of approximately 20%, and the material contains about 1% moisture.

The equipment is equipped with four heavy-duty, silent casters with brakes at the bottom and a large industrial handle on the back for flexible movement.

Fourth and fifth stage exhaust gas treatment process

Each dust collector system is designed for online cleaning, and the filter bags and cages are required to be of the same model and specifications to facilitate future interchangeability.
