How to Maintenance and Servicing of Air Filter Cartridge for Air Compressors?
The air filter is a component that filters out dust and contaminants from the air.
1. The air filter cartridge is best serviced once a week. The steps are as follows: Unscrew the gland nuts and take out the air filter cartridge;
use compressed air of 0.2-0.4Mpa to blow off dust particles on the outer surface of the cartridge from its inner cavity outwards;
wipe off dirt on the inner wall of the air filter housing with a clean cloth; refit the cartridge, making sure the sealing ring at the front of
the air filter cartridge fits tightly with the inner end face of the housing. For diesel-powered screw air compressors, the servicing of the air intake filter cartridge of the diesel engine
shall be performed simultaneously with that of the air compressor's filter cartridge, using the same method.
2. Under normal conditions, replace the air filter cartridge every 1000-1500 operating hours.
For operating sites with particularly severe environments such as mines, ceramic factories and cotton mills, it is recommended to replace the cartridge every 500 operating hours.
3. When cleaning or replacing the air filter cartridge, ensure all components are matched correctly one by one, and strictly prevent foreign objects from falling into the air intake valve.
4. Check the air intake telescopic pipe for damage or crushing, and inspect the connection joint between the telescopic pipe and the air filter intake valve for looseness or air leakage.
Repair or replace the faulty parts in a timely manner if any problems are found.
