Differences Between Membrane-Coated Dust Filter Bags and Standard Dust Filter Bags

Membrane-coated dust filter bags feature a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) membrane laminated to the surface of standard filter media. The PTFE membrane boasts a smooth surface and excellent chemical resistance, acting as a primary dust layer that traps all dust particles on its surface to achieve surface filtration. Its smooth surface, outstanding chemical stability, anti-aging property and hydrophobicity ensure easy detachment of trapped dust, while significantly extending the service life of the filter media.

Compared with standard dust filter bags, membrane-coated ones offer the following advantages:

1. With a membrane pore size of 0.2-3μm, the filtration efficiency reaches over 99.99%, achieving nearly zero emission. The porosity remains unchanged after ash cleaning, maintaining consistently high dust removal efficiency.

2. Membrane-coated filter media has a higher initial pressure drop than standard ones at the start of operation, but the pressure drop shows little change with prolonged use. In contrast, the pressure drop of standard filter bags rises significantly over time.

3. Dust easily penetrates into the interior of standard filter media and accumulates continuously until the pores are clogged, rendering the media unusable. For PTFE membrane-coated filter bags, trapped dust can be easily removed from the membrane surface, delivering superior ash cleaning performance with longer cleaning cycles and lower required ash cleaning pressure. This not only extends the filter media's service life but also reduces operational costs. Our factory uses high-quality domestic and imported PTFE microporous membranes, laminated with woven filter media and needle-punched non-woven filter media to produce PTFE membrane-coated filter media. It is widely applied in flue gas purification, dust control and material recovery fields.

Membrane-coated filter bags are available with various base filter media materials. The PTFE microporous membrane can effectively filter dust particles with a size of 2.5μm, making it the optimal choice for PM2.5 control and a key solution to ensure dust emission concentration is below 10mg/Nm³ under all working conditions. We cooperate with well-known domestic PTFE microporous membrane manufacturers, adopting high-permeability, low-resistance three-dimensional microporous membranes to develop and produce membrane-coated filter bags of various materials, meeting customers' ultra-low emission requirements.

Antistatic Dust Filter Bags The filter cloth of antistatic dust filter bags is made of antistatic polyester needle-punched felt with excellent antistatic performance. It is the top choice for explosion-proof dust removal in industries where electrostatic discharge may cause explosions, such as those handling surface dust, chemical dust and coal dust. When the concentration of industrial dust reaches the explosion limit, electrostatic discharge sparks or external ignition sources can easily trigger explosions and fires—for example, surface dust, chemical dust and coal dust are all prone to explosion upon electrostatic discharge. In the field of baghouse dust removal, filter media for needle-punched felt dust collectors must have antistatic properties when collecting such dust. By absorbing and adapting advanced foreign technologies, we have developed and produced permanent antistatic needle-punched filter felts to meet the dust removal needs of coal mills in domestic industries such as blast furnace gas and cement production.

Water and Oil-Repellent Dust Filter Bags Water and oil-repellent dust filter bags are manufactured by impregnating filter media with hydrophobic and oleophobic agents, followed by pre-drying and baking. After rapid drying, the agents form a reticular coating on the surface of filter fibers, reducing the surface tension between water, oil and the filter bag. This prevents wet filter media formed by water, oil and dust from adhering to the bag surface, thus avoiding bag clogging. Suitable for dust removal in high-humidity and oil-containing gas environments, water and oil-repellent treatment is applicable to both normal-temperature and high-temperature filter bags.
