Maintenance Methods for Pulse Jet Baghouse Dust Collectors

1. Regular Inspection & Parameter Monitoring

Operational Parameter Monitoring: Regularly check and record parameters such as inlet/outlet temperature of the dust collector and main fan current, with special attention to temperature fluctuations to prevent filter bag damage from high temperatures. It is recommended to record the differential pressure of the dust chamber and inlet temperature every hour, and address anomalies promptly.

Ash Cleaning System Inspection: For timer-based ash cleaning controllers, verify the accuracy of the cleaning cycle and adjust as needed. For differential pressure-type pulse controllers, check that pressure switches and pressure ports are unobstructed and clean.

2. Filter Bag Maintenance

Filter Bag Inspection: Periodically inspect filter bags for damage, clogging, or blinding. Replace damaged bags immediately to ensure cleanliness and air permeability.

Manual Ash Cleaning: After shutdown, perform repeated manual ash cleaning to remove dust from filter bags, preventing moisture-induced bag blinding.

Replacement & Cleaning: Clean filter bags regularly and replace aging ones based on dust load and bag condition.

3. Ash Cleaning System Maintenance

Pulse Valve Inspection: Regularly check pulse valve operation. Troubleshoot or replace faulty valves and damaged diaphragms promptly. Ensure pulse jet pressure remains within the standard range to guarantee effective ash cleaning.

Jet Pipe Inspection: Inspect and maintain the position of pulse jet pipes to avoid filter bag damage caused by loosening, displacement, or disconnected fittings.

4. Maintenance of Other Components

Air Filter Regulator & Lubricator: Drain the air receiver of the water separator and filter once per shift. Check the lubricator’s oil level frequently and refill as needed.

Lubrication Points: Inspect lubrication of cylinders, bearings, and other components regularly. Replenish or replace lubricating oil as required. Change grease in cycloidal pinwheel reducers periodically and add lubricant to bearing points.

Sealing & Leakage Check: Inspect seals on cylinders, solenoid valves, flanges, and access doors. Replace worn seals or repair air leaks immediately. Check for leaks in compressed air pipelines and ensure proper clearance when lift valves are closed. Additionally, verify the electrical control cabinet’s sealing to prevent water/dust ingress, and clean accumulated dust inside the cabinet regularly.

5. Shutdown & Startup Precautions

Shutdown: After the process system stops, keep the baghouse and exhaust fan running for a period to remove moisture and dust from the equipment.

Startup: Before starting, connect compressed air to the air receiver, power on the control system, and activate the ash discharge device. If other equipment is in the system, start downstream devices first.

6. Professional Training & Safety Measures

Professional Training: Train operators on equipment principles, operating procedures, and maintenance methods to improve efficiency and safety.

Safety Precautions: Implement measures to prevent combustion, explosion, and fire hazards, such as installing a combustion chamber or spark arrester upstream of the dust collector.

Through these detailed maintenance practices, the pulse jet baghouse dust collector can maintain long-term stable operation and high-efficiency dust removal performance.
