What Are the Common Materials of Dust Filter Bags and Their Common Parameters?
Dust filter bags are the core components of baghouse dust collectors, and their materials directly determine the dust removal efficiency, service life and applicability. The common materials and their key parameters are as follows, which can be selected according to the working conditions (temperature, dust characteristics, corrosion, etc.):
1. Polyester (PET) Needle Felt
Polyester is the most commonly used filter bag material, suitable for normal-temperature working conditions, with high cost-effectiveness.
Common parameters:
- Temperature resistance: Long-term ≤130℃, short-term ≤150℃
- Dust removal efficiency: ≥99.5% (can capture dust ≤10μm)
- Air permeability: 15-25m³/(m²·min) (200Pa)
- Tensile strength: Warp ≥1200N/5cm, weft ≥1000N/5cm
- Thickness: 1.0-1.3mm
- Density: ≥280g/m²
- Service life: 1-2 years (normal working conditions)
- Applicability: Normal-temperature dust (wood dust, food dust, light industrial dust), no corrosion, low humidity.
2. Polypropylene (PP) Needle Felt
Polypropylene has good acid and alkali resistance, suitable for corrosive normal-temperature working conditions.
Common parameters:
- Temperature resistance: Long-term ≤80℃, short-term ≤100℃
- Dust removal efficiency: ≥99.5%
- Air permeability: 18-28m³/(m²·min) (200Pa)
- Tensile strength: Warp ≥1000N/5cm, weft ≥800N/5cm
- Thickness: 1.0-1.2mm
- Density: ≥260g/m²
- Service life: 0.5-1.5 years
- Applicability: Corrosive normal-temperature dust (chemical dust, acid-base dust), low temperature and humidity.
3. PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide) Needle Felt
PPS is a medium and high-temperature filter material, widely used in boiler dust removal.
Common parameters:
- Temperature resistance: Long-term 160-180℃, short-term ≤200℃
- Dust removal efficiency: ≥99.9% (can capture dust ≤1μm)
- Air permeability: 12-20m³/(m²·min) (200Pa)
- Tensile strength: Warp ≥1500N/5cm, weft ≥1200N/5cm
- Thickness: 1.2-1.5mm
- Density: ≥300g/m²
- Service life: 2-3 years (boiler working conditions)
- Applicability: High-temperature dust (boiler flue gas, metallurgical dust), slight corrosion, high humidity.
4. FMS (Fluorine Meis) Needle Felt
FMS is a composite high-temperature material, with excellent wear resistance and high-temperature resistance.
Common parameters:
- Temperature resistance: Long-term 180-200℃, short-term ≤220℃
- Dust removal efficiency: ≥99.9%
- Air permeability: 10-18m³/(m²·min) (200Pa)
- Tensile strength: Warp ≥1600N/5cm, weft ≥1300N/5cm
- Thickness: 1.3-1.6mm
- Density: ≥320g/m²
- Service life: 3-4 years (harsh working conditions)
- Applicability: High-temperature, high-abrasion dust (boiler fly ash, mine dust), slight corrosion.
5. PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) Needle Felt
PTFE is a high-end filter material, with excellent corrosion and high-temperature resistance.
Common parameters:
- Temperature resistance: Long-term 200-260℃, short-term ≤280℃
- Dust removal efficiency: ≥99.99% (can capture dust ≤0.1μm)
- Air permeability: 8-15m³/(m²·min) (200Pa)
- Tensile strength: Warp ≥1400N/5cm, weft ≥1100N/5cm
- Thickness: 1.2-1.5mm
- Density: ≥300g/m²
- Service life: 3-5 years
- Applicability: High-temperature, strong corrosion dust (chemical incineration, waste incineration), high humidity, viscous dust.
6. Glass Fiber Needle Felt
Glass fiber has high temperature resistance, low cost, but poor toughness.
Common parameters:
- Temperature resistance: Long-term ≤260℃, short-term ≤280℃
- Dust removal efficiency: ≥99.5%
- Air permeability: 10-18m³/(m²·min) (200Pa)
- Tensile strength: Warp ≥800N/5cm, weft ≥600N/5cm (poor toughness, easy to break)
- Thickness: 1.2-1.4mm
- Density: ≥280g/m²
- Service life: 1-2 years
- Applicability: High-temperature, low-abrasion dust (high-temperature boiler flue gas with low dust concentration).
